We love our Goldens and appreciate having the opportunity to share them with you. Thank you for visiting our site.
Located in Northwestern Washington state on a picturesque hilltop with spectacular views of the Puget Sound, Mount Baker and Whidbey Island, our Goldens rule our roost.
Like so many other Golden Retriever owners, we fell in love when we got our first boy in 1997. We discovered what so many before us already knew--Goldens are amazing! Everyone says they have the smartest dog, and with Jake we just knew we did! A dog that could understand not just words, but sentences. A dog that could anticipate your wants. A best friend, a loyal companion, an avid student and an even more patient teacher.
And if one is good, more must be even better! And so our saga (like so many others) began.
Although our interest began in the show ring, it didn’t take long before we also got hooked in the hunt arena.

Welcome to Soundview Farm
Our Goldens
Gidget
We are breeders/owners/handlers. We take great joy in the training, conditioning and caring for our Goldens. What we get back in return is the love and loyalty of a friend that cannot be measured.
We are members of the Golden Retriever Club of America (GRCA), the Hunting Retriever Club (HRC), the Sporting Dog Club of British Columbia, the Port Ludlow Kennel Club, Project Canine (therapy dogs) and Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.). Scott is the past Western Regional Director for the Golden Retriever Club of America. He is also a Licensed AA Started Judge for HRC hunt tests and past Vice President for the Olympic Rainshadow Hunting Retriever Club.
We only have a small number of dogs at any one time. All of our dogs live (and sleep) with us, so we like to keep the number manageable, assuring that each of our dogs gets individual attention.
We make every effort to title our dogs in both Conformation and Hunt Tests. We participate in American Kennel Club (AKC), United Kennel Club (UKC) and Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) events.
We work to preserve the history of the Golden Retriever by ensuring we are diligent in our efforts to study the dogs of the past to make thoughtful, educated decisions for breeding dogs for the future of the breed. The first sentence of the breed standard states the Golden Retriever should be “sound and well put together” and should display “a kindly expression and possess a personality that is eager, alert and self-confident.” We do our best to ensure Soundview Goldens.

Nina is a Tempo daughter and just like her mother she possesses the same lovely head and expression. She is an easy girl, never demanding, and always wanting to please.

Annie-O is a dream breeding out of GCH CH Chuckanut’s Both Barrels, RN, TD, JR (Rooster) and HR Augusta’s Prairie Sweep, CDX, BN, JH (Sage ). She brings to our kennel a background of field titles, championships and, high on our list, longevity. She is such a fun girl. Loves to swim. Loves to perform her training commands. Loves to run and play with the big dogs. She is an athletic girl with a strong topline. We are very excited about this girl and can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.
